The Virginia Department of Veterans Services (VA-DVS) is focused on reducing suicide risk for active Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF). The JPRC is a partner on a project led by W2 Consulting and funded by the VA-DVS to examine how current suicide prevention programs for the SMVF population can be improved. The JPRC’s tasks will include convening and learning from an expert virtual panel and completing interviews with program leaders of selected Virginia suicide prevention programs to identify characteristics associated with successful intervention.
