Montgomery County, PA Substance Use Prevention Evaluation (2018-present)

WestEd is currently funded by the Office of Drug and Alcohol in Montgomery County, PA to assist in evaluation planning, program implementation, data collection, and comprehensive reporting of evidence-based alcohol and drug programming (e.g., Second Step, Signs of Suicide, Life Skills, etc.) in the county. Specifically, WestEd is designing data collection procedures, training providers on data collection, and providing analysis and reporting for all evidence-based programs (EBP) provided in schools as well as other prevention programming offered throughout the county. Data dashboards have been developed and made available on a website to increase access to evaluation findings and promote data use. WestEd also provides assistance to the County as they conduct their needs assessment and will provide future evaluation planning and recommendations they can use in their work beyond the project.
